DAME LISA CARRINGTON JOINS OWNERSHIP GROUP
Auckland, New Zealand – BNZ Kāhu Basketball, one of Aotearoa’s leading professional
women’s basketball teams, is proud to announce that Olympic Champion Dame Lisa
Carrington, has joined the team's ownership group.
Dame Lisa’s decision to invest in Kāhu Basketball signals a major step forward for women’s
sport in New Zealand. Her leadership, vision, and passion for empowering wāhine across
the country will help propel the Kāhu, and the wider Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa league, to
new heights.
“Sport – especially women’s sport – is such an exciting and important space. It has the
power to influence far beyond the game itself, and this opportunity to contribute to something
bigger was one I couldn’t pass up," said Dame Lisa Carrington.
